We need to manage two types of processes:· Processes running under Linux. · Processes running under Windows.Running processes are being handled by Syswin, which can be reached through the "/syswin" subfolder of the "windows" directory. Each process is represented by a file with the extension ".p", having its information stored in XML format. This simplistic representation allows us to capture the info we need and move on to more important tasks like getting actual output from those processes, and communicating progress and results between Linux and Windows.We'll be using two tools: Python and socat (with a little help from Expect, as we'll see later). The Python code takes a filename, looks for a file called "run_linux.p" in the "syswin" folder, and parses the contents of that file to get useful information about the process. We'll be using Expect to test multiple possible paths through the Python code, and socat for connecting from Linux to Windows.In order to make sure we have access to both Linux and Windows from our program, we'll need to find out what address each system has available. The easiest way to find that is:Go to: :\\\\ and open a DOS prompt there. Then, type: ipconfig  and press Enter.This will show the available IPs the machine has. The number we're interested in is called "IPv4 Address". We'll store these numbers in two separate variables called "localhost_ip" and "remote_ip". We'll also need to be able to switch between them by giving their respective names as arguments to our program, so we'll store those as well, with the names "local_ip" and "remote_ip".
